French Curve Cutter:
This high speed steel cutter is perfect for scraping or shear scraping inside forms. Ideally suited for that finishing cut on egg cups, goblets, bowls and round bottom boxes.
Dovetail/Box Cutter:
This cutter is designed to create parallel side walls and 90 degree corners in boxes. It also creates dovetails and tenons to mount timber on scroll chucks.
Teardrop Cutter:
This incredibly popular and versatile cutter shape delivers on multiple levels. Use the straight side for scraping and shear scraping outside forms, and the curved edge for scraping and shear scraping inside forms.
Mushroom Cutter:
As the name suggests this cutter is designed for undercutting mushroom shapes, but is also ideal for hollowing out small forms.
Sharpening:
Use a diamond file or honing stone across the top face. To gain best results and increase the longevity of the cutter this simple procedure should be done little and often. Use the TurnMaster cutter holder to reshape the profile on the Robert Sorby ProEdge using a zirconium or ceramic belt or on a grinding wheel using a standard abrasive material.
