The Cobra bandsaw is modelled on the Laguna 18/BX, but specifically designed for the UK market. It has a one piece frame construction to minimise distortion when the blade is fully tensioned.
The mighty 3000w induction motor provides the power to use the full 16" cutting depth. An internal brake quickly brings the blade to rest when the stop button is pressed.
The blade guide system has 5 sealed bearings at the top and 5 underneath the table. Each side of the blade there are 2 bearings allowing for greater support when using wider blades. The rear bearing has a groove in the centre which allows a 3mm blade to be used for Scroll work. All of the bearings have tool free adjustment making the Cobra bandsaw one of the easiest bandsaws on the market to set up.
When additional light is required on the job, the C18BX has a built-in power socket which can be used to power our optional ML28 LED light.
Efficient dust extraction is achieved through 2 x 100mm (4") diameter outlets, one located just underneath the table and one at the base. A deflector sends the dust into the upper collection port before it comes into contact with the lower wheel and other moving parts – extending their lifespan.
Supplied with British made 13mm blade, push stick, mitre guide, 1.9m cable with industrial 16 amp plug.
