The RAMIA Superb 1700 represents the pinnacle of professional woodworking workbenches. Designed for craftsmen who demand uncompromising quality, it combines exceptional strength, stability, precision, and functionality in a compact yet highly capable workstation. Constructed entirely from solid beech wood, the workbench features an impressive 80 mm thick worktop built using an ultra-rigid double dovetail construction, providing outstanding durability and resistance to heavy workshop use.

The massive front vice, measuring 700 mm in length and 100 mm in thickness, is equipped with a sophisticated twin-spindle mechanism featuring a concealed chain and gear system. This advanced design ensures perfectly parallel jaw movement and exceptionally precise clamping across the entire width of the vice. The tail vice incorporates a robust double guide-bar system, delivering maximum strength, smooth operation, and long-term accuracy. Three integrated bench dog holes in the tail vice, together with sixteen additional bench dog holes strategically positioned in the worktop, provide versatile work-holding options for workpieces of virtually any size.

Engineered for maximum rigidity, the workbench features heavy-duty solid beech legs connected by double stretchers, creating an exceptionally stable foundation. This construction also allows the workbench to be expanded with an optional tool cabinet without compromising its structural integrity. A practical rear tool well keeps frequently used tools and materials within easy reach while helping maintain a clean and organised work surface. Supplied in a convenient flat-pack format, the workbench comes with detailed assembly instructions for quick and straightforward installation.

The Ramia Superb 1700 Workbench has an oil finish applied at the factory. It is recommended to keep workbenches where the relative humidity is between 40 – 55% all year round. For more information, please see the workbench care and storage instructions.

This optional storage cupboard fits to all PRO Series Ramia workbenches. This storage unit will give you valuable extra storage space in your workshop. The half open design offers 4 drawers one side and a full height cupboard on the other allowing you to keep your most used tools within easy reach while keeping other tools and accessories in the cupboard away from dust and shavings. Constructed from high quality Beech effect laminated chipboard that is stabilised not to swell or warp, this storage unit is strong and sturdy and gives extra rigidity and perfect appearance to your workbench. The enclosed back ensures stored tools do not fall behind the bench if they are knocked and the cupboard doors has a generously sized, easy to grip handles. The perfect addition to your workbench.

The Cork Vice Jaw Protectors are designed to safeguard both your workpieces and your workbench vices during clamping operations. The natural cork surface provides excellent grip while preventing damage to delicate materials, making them ideal for working with soft woods, finished surfaces, veneers, and other scratch-sensitive materials.

The Aluminium Vice Jaw Protectors are designed for use when working with materials harder than wood. They help prevent wear and damage to the wooden vice jaws and packing pieces while providing a durable clamping surface suitable for metal, composites, and other hard materials.

The RAMIA Workbench Clamps provide a quick and effective solution for securing workpieces directly to the worktop. Compatible with all RAMIA workbenches featuring round bench dog holes as well as models equipped with large square bench dog holes, these clamps offer reliable holding power for a wide variety of woodworking tasks.
