The RAMIA Monster 1700 is a professional-grade woodworking workbench designed for craftsmen and demanding users who require uncompromising stability, precision, and durability. Although optimized for smaller workshops, this bench delivers the performance and features expected from the finest professional workbenches on the market. At the heart of the Premium Monster 1700 is its exceptionally robust construction, featuring traditional dovetail joinery—one of the strongest and most durable woodworking joints available. This construction method provides outstanding rigidity, ensuring maximum stability, resistance to heavy loads, and an exceptionally long service life.
The workbench is equipped with two premium-quality vices. The front vice, measuring 520 mm long and 70 mm wide, features a heavy-duty design for secure and reliable clamping. The tail vice, measuring 460 mm long and 140 mm wide, is fitted with a precision-engineered spindle system found on the highest-quality workbenches. This advanced mechanism ensures exceptionally smooth operation, precise alignment, and firm guidance throughout the full range of movement. For versatile workholding, the workbench incorporates an extensive bench dog system. The tail vice includes three bench dog holes, complemented by thirteen additional holes in the worktop. Two further bench dog holes are integrated into the 110 mm high front apron, allowing efficient vertical clamping of workpieces when used in combination with the tail vice.
Practical storage solutions are built into the design. A convenient storage drawer keeps frequently used tools close at hand, while the integrated rear tool well provides space for tools, accessories, and materials, helping to maintain a clean and organized work surface. The tool well also makes it easy to clear the bench top quickly during demanding projects. Supplied in a convenient flat-pack format, the workbench comes with detailed assembly instructions for quick and straightforward installation.
The Ramia Monster 1700 Workbench has an oil finish applied at the factory. It is recommended to keep workbenches where the relative humidity is between 40 – 55% all year round. For more information, please see the workbench care and storage instructions.
