Charnwood BD15 Belt & Disc Sander, 1" x 5"

A compact and well made combination disc & belt sander. Ideally suited to any small workshop and an excellent choice for model makers, toy makers, or anybody working with small components.

There are 3 different sanding stations on the machine: For sanding larger flat faces or end grain use the 5" diameter sanding disc. It is complimented by a solid one piece cast aluminium work table, hinged at both ends to allow a tilting function of up to 45 degrees. The work table also has a slot to mount a mitre fence which can be adjusted up to 60 degrees each way. Allowing mitred and compound angles to be sanded. A dust extraction outlet is provided to connect to a suitable vacuum or extractor.

For edge sanding, profiling or sharpening tools, the belt sander is 25mm wide with a back plate to keep its shape.

The sander sits on 4 rubber feet to provide a stable platform. It can also be secured to a work bench using the 2 mounting points provided.

Supplied with mitre fence, 1 x 80 grit sanding belt, 1 x 80 grit self adhesive sanding disc, 2.0m power cable & UK 3 pin plug. To connect to an extractor hose of 100mm diameter, use our 100/38RC adapter.

We recommend wearing a face mask or respirator during all sanding operations, even if a dust extraction system is in place.
