- Quickly and easily make light pulls
- Quality stepped drill bit
- Available in 1MT & 2MT, Made in the UK by Planet
Quickly and easily make light pulls with the Rotur Light Pull Drive Kit. The blank only needs to be drilled once thanks to the stepped drill bit. The knot in the string can then fit inside the light pull.
Drill the blank just over halfway though with the widest part of the stepped drill bit. Then slide the blank over the Stepped friction drive and support the other end with a pointed live centre, but don’t overtighten. The Rotur Deluxe Rotating Centre is ideal for this. Turn the blank at a high speed and finish.
Available in 1MT & 2MT. Includes Stepped drill 3 – 6mm x 120mm. Made in the UK by Planet.
How to identify the Morse taper size of a lathe
To determine the Morse taper (MT) size of a woodturning lathe simply measure the internal diameter of the headstock spindle or tailstock quill.
1MT is approximately 12mm
2MT is approximately 18mm
3MT is approximately 24mm
Most woodturning lathes are either 1MT or 2MT and have the same size tapers at both ends. However, some older lathes can have different sizes for the headstock and tailstock.
