Cheetah polyester
is made from a cast polyester resin. The material works similarly
to most hardwoods. It can be machined, drilled, threaded, carved,
and turned. When turning it is recommended that you use a tool
with a negative rake.
Cast polyester
resin can be glued using a various types of glue. In general white
PVA is used for larger areas and superglue for smaller areas.
Depending on the
tool used the finish can be very smooth and may only require
sanding with NyWeb pads. For polishing we recommend Chestnut
Products Burnishing Cream, Brasso or equivalent. With a small
amount of effort it is possible to achieve a glass-like finish.
